This research aimed to analyze the elements that build erotic discourse in the poetry collection Orkestra Pemakaman (2018) by Aslan Abidin. This research used a qualitative descriptive research method with purposive sampling techniques and flow models. Through Paul Ricouer's hermeneutical approach, this research revealed that the elements of poetry that build erotic discourse include the use of rich diction, strong imagery, diverse figurative language, and deep rhetorical means. Apart from that, the erotic discourse in this anthology also included aspects such as sexuality discourse, power discourse, historical discourse, religious discourse, death euphoria discourse and cultural identity discourse. Erotic discourse was depicted through the meaning of women as objects, the depiction of women's bodies in erotic language, and the reflection of society's views on sexual education. The findings provided an understanding of the relationship between eroticism, religion and cultural identity in the context of South Sulawesi.
Andi Samsu Rijal Arif Hukmi Copyright (c) 2025 Andi Samsu Rijal, Arif Hukmi https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-09-22 2025-09-22 3 2 7 17 10.59638/isolek.v3i2.574 Fenomena Campur Kode Pada Komunikasi Gen Z Analisis Wacana Di Media Sosial Tiktok http://jurnal-fkip-uim.ac.id/index.php/isolek/article/view/681
The development of digital technology has brought about major changes in the way Generation Z communicates, especially through social media such as TikTok, which has become a platform for linguistic expression and cultural identity. This study aims to reveal the forms and functions of code-mixing in TikTok user interactions using Suwito's (1985) theory as the basis for analysis. The approach applied is descriptive qualitative with observation techniques of user posts and comments. The results of the study identify three main types of code-mixing, namely inner code-mixing, which affirms local identit, outer code-mixing, which indicates a global orientation, and hybrid code-mixing, which reflects linguistic creativity. These findings show that code-mixing serves not only as a communication tool but also as a strategy for building self-image and negotiating social identity in the digital space. Overall, Generation Z's code-mixing practices on TikTok reflect dynamic, creative, and adaptive language skills in response to globalization.
Nurchalistiani Budiana Safitri Safitri Hesty Ratnasari Muhamad Mustofa Copyright (c) 2025 Nurchalistiani Budiana, Safitri Safitri, Hesty Ratnasari, Muhamad Mustofa https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-09-30 2025-09-30 3 2 56 61 10.59638/isolek.v3i2.681 Kritik Sastra Terhadap Puisi Yang Dihasilkan AI Oleh Siswa SMP Unismuh Makassar http://jurnal-fkip-uim.ac.id/index.php/isolek/article/view/763
The development of artificial intelligence (AI) in the field of education has opened new opportunities in literary learning, particularly in the processes of poetry creation and analysis. This study aims to examine literary criticism of AI-generated poems produced by students of SMP Unismuh Makassar in order to understand the relationship between human creativity and technology. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method with modern literary criticism and semiotic approaches. The data, consisting of AI-generated poems and students’ poems, are analyzed based on linguistic, aesthetic, and moral aspects. The results indicate that AI-generated poems tend to have more orderly linguistic structures but are emotionally flatter, whereas students’ poems are more expressive and contextual. The analysis shows that literary criticism approaches are able to distinguish the depth of meaning and human values between digital works and human-created works. This study emphasizes the importance of integrating AI as a reflective and creative medium in literature learning at the secondary school level.
Maria Ulviani Rosmalina Kemala Siti Suwadah Rimang Haslinda Haslinda Sulvahrul Amin Copyright (c) 2025 Maria Ulviani, Rosmalina Kemala, Siti Suwadah Rimang, Haslinda Haslinda, Sulvahrul Amin https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-09-30 2025-09-30 3 2 70 77 10.59638/isolek.v3i2.763 Analisis Unsur Instrinsik Puisi 'Kalah dan Menang' Karya Sutan Takdir Alisjahbana http://jurnal-fkip-uim.ac.id/index.php/isolek/article/view/409
The analysis of intrinsic elements is the main key to comprehensively understanding the meaning of the poem “Kalah dan Menang” (Defeat and Victory). This study aims to identify and categorize slang types based on the morphological processes that appear in TikTok video content, captions, comments, and text. The method used is descriptive qualitative, with online data collection from popular content published between 2023 and 2025. The analysis was based on Yule's (2022) word formation theory. A total of 50 slang entries were reviewed and classified into five types of morphological processes: acronym, clipping, derivation, blending, and coinage. The results showed that the most dominant processes were acronym, clipping, derivation, and blending. Coinage was not found in the data. These findings demonstrate the linguistic creativity of TikTok users in developing communication strategies that simultaneously construct social identities in the digital space. TikTok slang not only functions as a form of language but also reflects cultural practices and group communication patterns in the digital era.
Apriliana Apriliana Rugaiyah Rugaiyah Copyright (c) 2025 Apriliana Apriliana, Rugaiyah Rugaiyah https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-09-21 2025-09-21 3 2 1 6 10.59638/isolek.v3i2.558 Representasi Emosi dan Harapan pada Lirik Lagu “Terbuang dalam Waktu” Karya Barasuara Kajian Stilistika dan Retorika http://jurnal-fkip-uim.ac.id/index.php/isolek/article/view/613
Song lyrics function not only as entertainment but also as a medium of communication that conveys emotional and social messages to listeners. Barasuara’s “Terbuang dalam Waktu” is particularly interesting to study because it combines the themes of grief and hope through distinctive stylistic choices, and its popularity increased significantly after being featured as the soundtrack of the film Sore: Istri dari Masa Depan, which brought the song to wider public recognition. This study aims to describe how emotions and hope are represented in the lyrics of “Terbuang dalam Waktu” by applying stylistic and rhetorical analysis. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method, with the lyric text as the primary data. The analysis focused on identifying stylistic devices such as repetition, parallelism, and metaphor, as well as rhetorical devices such as rhetorical questions, lexical reinforcement, and peroration, which were then interpreted within linguistic and communication frameworks. The findings show that the opening part of the lyrics is dominated by negative emotions such as sadness, inner wounds, and doubt, expressed through repetition, parallelism, and rhetorical questions. A turning point appears in the performative verb “berubah,” which shifts the discourse from despair to action. The closing part represents hope and love through growth metaphors, emotional support, and the statement “cinta tak kenal waktu” as the peak of the message. The combination of stylistic and rhetorical devices ensures that the song’s message is delivered powerfully and emotionally, allowing listeners not only to understand the lyrics but also to experience the journey from grief to hope.
Sarwatul Mufidah Copyright (c) 2025 Sarwatul Mufidah https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-09-27 2025-09-27 3 2 18 32 10.59638/isolek.v3i2.613 Prefiksasi Dalam Lirik Lagu ‘Bukti’ Dan ‘Selamat Tinggal’ Pada Album Surat Cinta Untuk Starla http://jurnal-fkip-uim.ac.id/index.php/isolek/article/view/689
This research is motivated by the importance of understanding morphological processes, especially affixation, which plays a role in the formation and meaning of words in Indonesian. Amidst the rise of language errors among teenagers due to the influence of popular language, examples of the use of correct language forms are needed. This study aims to describe the prefix forms in two Virgoun songs in the album Surat Cinta untuk Starla, namely "Bukti" and "Selamat Tinggal." The study uses a qualitative descriptive method with content analysis of the lyrics to identify the types of prefixes and their grammatical meanings. The results show that the song "Bukti" contains 8 prefix forms, consisting of the prefixes ber-, mem-, men-, and ter-, with the highest frequency in the prefixes ber- and ter-. The song "Selamat Tinggal" contains 20 prefix data in the form of the prefixes ber-, me-, ku-, and ter-, with the dominance of the prefixes ber- and me-. In general, the use of prefixes in both songs clarifies the actions, states and emotional expressions that the songwriters want to convey. These findings can be utilized in Indonesian language learning as teaching materials to introduce the word formation process through examples that are relevant and close to students' lives.
Devina Mulyana Elsa Kholifatul Hasanah Fadilla Ulfah Muhammad Ichsan Nurjam’an Copyright (c) 2025 Devina Mulyana, Elsa Kholifatul Hasanah, Fadilla Ulfah, Muhammad Ichsan Nurjam’an https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-09-30 2025-09-30 3 2 46 55 10.59638/isolek.v3i2.689 Kesantunan Berbahasa Terhadap Nilai Budaya Suku Bugis-Makassar: Suatu Telaah Sosiopragmatik http://jurnal-fkip-uim.ac.id/index.php/isolek/article/view/790
This study aims to describe and analyze the practice of linguistic politeness in relation to the cultural values of the Bugis-Makassar community, particularly the values of Sipakatau, Sipakalebbi/Siakalabbiri, Siri’, and Pangngaderreng/Pangngadakkang. The research employs a qualitative approach with a sociopragmatic design integrated with an ethnography of communication perspective. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of speech events within family and educational settings in South Sulawesi. Data analysis involved data reduction, categorization of politeness strategies, and contextual interpretation using the politeness theory of Penelope Brown and Stephen C. Levinson, contextualized within the concept of collective dignity embedded in Bugis-Makassar culture. The findings indicate that linguistic politeness practices continue to reflect strong local cultural values. Address systems, honorific expressions, and indirect communication strategies function as mechanisms for maintaining face and social dignity. The value of Siri’ serves as the primary foundation for regulating speech behavior and preserving social harmony, while the principles of Sipakatau and Sipakalebbi are manifested in lexical choices that convey respect and honor toward interlocutors. However, modernization, shifting interaction patterns, and the declining use of local languages have contributed to the weakening internalization of politeness values among some younger generations. This study underscores that understanding politeness practices within the Bugis-Makassar community requires the integration of universal politeness theory and local cultural frameworks. Theoretically, this research contributes to the development of sociopragmatic studies grounded in local wisdom, while practically it provides a conceptual foundation for strengthening character education and cultural preservation through ethical communication practices.
Rusdi Room Copyright (c) 2025 Rusdi Room https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-09-30 2025-09-30 3 2 86 102 10.59638/isolek.v3i2.790
