The scientific method is used in the scientific approach in early childhood education to encourage children to observe, ask questions, try, analyse and share the results of their research. This method enhances critical thinking, problem-solving and communication skills. Therefore, the curriculum should be developed with a scientific approach that is appropriate to the nature and developmental needs of early childhood. To develop an innovative and effective curriculum, this study used the research and development method along with the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate). The planning, implementation, and evaluation of the curriculum in Banten are carried out continuously and involve the participation of parents. The results show that the curriculum with a scientific approach is effective in improving early childhood cognitive and science skills. The learning process is designed to allow children to actively participate by observing, questioning, gathering information, reasoning and communicating. This makes learning fun and rewarding. The aim of Banten's curriculum innovation is to improve early childhood education by using contemporary teaching technologies and approaches to meet children's developmental needs.
Anisa Khaerani, Dini Putri Pratiwi, Fadila Nurunnisa, Esya Anesty Mashudi Copyright (c) 2024 Anisa Khaerani, Dini Putri Pratiwi, Fadila Nurunnisa, Esya Anesty Mashudi https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://jurnal-fkip-uim.ac.id/index.php/ihyaulum/article/view/202 Mon, 16 Sep 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Metode Bercerita Untuk Mengatasi Keterlambatan Bahasa Anak Usia Dini https://jurnal-fkip-uim.ac.id/index.php/ihyaulum/article/view/245
This study aims to address language development delays in early childhood through the storytelling method. The background of this study is based on the importance of language development in children's lives, which affects their social and academic abilities. The subjects of this research were 4-5 years old children at RA Generasi Qur'ani Ujung Bandar. The research was conducted using a literature study approach from various scientific references. Data shows that around 5-10% of early childhood experience language delays, caused by internal factors such as health and external factors such as the environment. The results revealed that the storytelling method was able to improve children's speaking and listening skills, with significant improvements in vocabulary and narrative ability. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of parental education and student gender on the critical thinking skills of children aged 5-6 years. Quantitative research approach with quasi-experiment 2x2 factorial design 2-way analysis. The research location is Aisyiyah Mamajang Kindergarten, Makassar City which is based on indicators of critical thinking ability. The collected data were analyzed with parametric statistics with prerequisite tests of normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing with Two-Way ANOVA. The results showed that the last level of parental education had a significant effect, gender had no effect, there was no interaction between the last level of parental education and gender on the critical thinking skills of children aged 5-6 years.
Cahaya Cahaya, Mahmud Bonita, Darfin Sutra Awaliyah, Munawir Nidha Eka Restuti Copyright (c) 2024 Cahaya Cahaya, Mahmud Bonita, Darfin Sutra Awaliyah, Munawir Nidha Eka Restuti https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://jurnal-fkip-uim.ac.id/index.php/ihyaulum/article/view/269 Wed, 31 Jul 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Meningkatkan Kemampuan Motorik Halus Anak Melalui Kegiatan Mencetak Menggunakan Media Bahan Alam Di Taman Kanak-kanak https://jurnal-fkip-uim.ac.id/index.php/ihyaulum/article/view/267
The reality faced by group A Kindergarten Harapan Ibu is that the majority of students are not yet able to print with natural materials. It appears that children are still not able to print with natural materials that have been determined by the teacher. Often children have difficulty printing. Children in group A should be able to print using natural materials. Of the 11 students in group A, only 4 people (36.4%) were able to print with natural materials, the remaining 7 people (63.6%) were not able to make collages. From the implementation of learning improvements in activities to improve children's fine motor skills in Group A Mother's Expectations which were carried out in the second learning cycle, it can be concluded that: very significant final achievements were clearly visible in the first cycle, there were 3 children (27.3%) who were starting to develop, 8 children (72.7%) developed according to expectations. In cycle II, namely children's activities, in the collage making activity using the assignment method in cycle II there were 11 children (100%) who developed. Early childhood education plays an important role in children's cognitive, social and emotional development. Critical thinking skills, such as analysis and problem solving, need to be developed early on. Based on observations at RA Mardhati, the critical thinking skills of group A children are still less than optimal, so a more interactive learning method is needed. The steam candle experiment was chosen because it allows children to observe the physical changes of the candle, stimulating them to ask questions, make hypotheses, and analyze the results. This research used descriptive qualitative method with observation, interview, and documentation techniques. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, presentation, verification, and triangulation. The results showed that the vapor candle experiment effectively improved children's critical thinking skills. Of the 15 participants, 70% experienced significant improvement, with 47.33% in the Developing As Expected (BSH) category and 24.33% Developing Very Well (BSB). The experiment not only improved cognitive skills but also introduced a spiritual dimension by linking natural phenomena, making a significant contribution to science-based learning methods in ECD.
Andi Rezky Nurhidaya, Abdul Hakim Naba, Endang Ruswiyani, Nirwana Nirwana Copyright (c) 2024 Andi Rezky Nurhidaya, Abdul Hakim Naba, Endang Ruswiyani, Nirwana Nirwana https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://jurnal-fkip-uim.ac.id/index.php/ihyaulum/article/view/270 Wed, 31 Jul 2024 00:00:00 +0000
