Publication Ethics
Publication Ethics Statement
This scientific code of ethics statement is a statement of the code of ethics of all parties involved in the publication process of this scientific journal, namely managers, editors, reviewers and authors. This statement of the ethical code for scientific publications is based on the Regulation of the Head of LIPI Number 5 of 2014 concerning the Code of Ethics for Scientific Publications, which essentially upholds three ethical values ??in publications, namely:
1. Neutrality, namely free from conflict of interest in managing publications;
2. Justice, namely giving authorship rights to those entitled to be authors/writers; And
3. Honesty, namely free from duplication, fabrication, falsification and plagiarism (DF2P) in publications.
Duties and Responsibilities of Journal Manager
1. Determine the name of the journal, scientific scope, periodicity, and accreditation if necessary.
2. Determine the membership of the editorial board.
3. Define the relationship between publishers, editors, publishers and other parties in a contract.
4. Respect matters of a confidential nature, both for contributing researchers, authors/authors, editors, and publisher partners.
5. Implement norms and provisions regarding intellectual property rights, especially copyright.
6. Review journal policies and convey them to the author/writers, editorial board, bestari partners, and readers.
7. Create a code of conduct guide for editors and review partners.
8. Publish journals regularly.
9. Ensure the availability of funding sources for the sustainability of journal publication.
10. Building cooperation and marketing networks.
11. Prepare permits and other legal aspects.
Editor's Duties and Responsibilities
1. Meeting the needs of readers and authors/writers,
2. Strive to continuously improve the quality of publications,
3. Implement a process to guarantee the quality of published written work,
4. Prioritize freedom of opinion objectively,
5. Maintain the integrity of the author's academic track record,
6. Deliver corrections, clarifications, withdrawals and apologies if necessary,
7. Responsible for the style and format of the written work, while the content and all statements in the written work are the responsibility of the author/writer,
8. Actively solicit opinions from authors, readers, bestari partners, and editorial board members to improve the quality of publications,
9. Encourage an assessment of the journal if there are findings,
10. Support initiatives to reduce research and publication errors by asking authors to attach an Ethical Clearance form that has been approved by the Ethical Clearance Commission,
11. Support initiatives to educate researchers about publication ethics,
12. Review the effects of publication policies on the attitudes of authors/authors and bestari partners and improve them to increase responsibility and minimize errors,
13. Have an open mind to new opinions or other people's views that may conflict with personal opinions,
14. Do not defend your own opinion, that of the author or a third party which could result in a non-objective decision,
15. Encourage authors/authors to improve their written work until it is suitable for publication.
Reviewer Duties and Responsibilities
1. Receive an assignment from the editor to review the written work and submit the results of the review to the editor, as material for determining the suitability of a written work for publication.
2. Reviewers may not carry out reviews of written works that involve themselves, either directly or indirectly
3. Maintain the author's privacy by not disseminating the results of corrections, suggestions and recommendations by providing criticism, suggestions, input and recommendations
4. Encourage authors/authors to improve their written work
5. Review written work that has been corrected according to predetermined standards.
6. Written work is reviewed in a timely manner according to the style of the publication environment based on scientific principles (data collection methods, legality of authors, conclusions, etc.).
Author Duties and Responsibilities
1. Ensure that those included in the author/author list meet the criteria as authors.
2. Collectively responsible for the work and content of the article including methods, analysis, calculations and details.
3. State the origin of resources (including funding), either directly or indirectly.
4. Explain the limitations in the research
5. Respond to comments made by Bestari partners in a professional and timely manner.
6. Inform the editor if you want to withdraw your written work.
7. Make a statement that the written work submitted for publication is original, has never been published anywhere in any language, and is not in the process of being submitted to another publisher.
