Abstrak

ABSTRAK

 

Pendidikan anak usia dini merupakan periode penting untuk mengembangkan berbagai aspek perkembangan, termasuk kemampuan motorik kasar yang berperan dalam kekuatan, koordinasi, dan keseimbangan tubuh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan motorik kasar anak usia 5–6 tahun melalui penerapan senam irama di TK Batara Bira Kecamatan Biringkanaya Kota Makassar. Penelitian menggunakan desain Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan pendekatan deskriptif, melibatkan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada keterampilan motorik kasar anak, ditunjukkan oleh kenaikan rata-rata skor perkembangan sebesar 60% dari pra-tindakan hingga akhir siklus II. Peningkatan tersebut mencakup aspek kekuatan otot, kelincahan, keseimbangan, kelenturan, koordinasi gerak, serta keberanian dalam melakukan gerakan. Faktor pendukung keberhasilan meliputi pemilihan musik yang sesuai dengan usia anak, penyusunan gerakan secara bertahap, penggunaan media pembelajaran, konsistensi guru dalam membimbing, serta pemberian ruang bagi kreativitas anak. Kesimpulannya, senam irama terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan perkembangan motorik kasar anak usia dini dan memiliki implikasi penting bagi guru PAUD dalam mengintegrasikan aktivitas fisik yang menyenangkan sebagai strategi pembelajaran untuk mendukung tumbuh kembang anak secara optimal.
